How credits work

What credits are, how they are used, and how to get more.

Credits are the currency Threadline uses to run analyses. Each time you run an analysis, it uses one or more credits depending on the analysis quality you choose.

How many credits does each analysis use?

Analysis qualityCredits used
Standard1 credit
In-depth1 credit
Foresight2 credits

How do I check my credit balance?

Your remaining credits appear in the top-right corner of the CFA page. You can also see them in your profile settings.

What happens when I run out of credits?

The Analyse button becomes inactive until you top up. Your previous results are still accessible — you can still view, share, and export past analyses.

How do I get more credits?

  • Free plan — starts with 5 credits, no automatic top-up.
  • Paid plans — include a monthly credit allowance that refreshes each billing cycle.
  • Top-up — on any plan you can purchase additional credits from the Pricing page.

Do credits expire?

Credits on paid plans reset each billing cycle (unused credits do not roll over). Top-up credits do not expire.

Troubleshooting

My credit balance looks wrong
