Importing from online sources
Pull reviews from Google Play, App Store, Trustpilot, and Reddit.
Threadline can fetch reviews and posts directly from public sources so you don't need to export and re-upload data manually.
Available online sources
| Source | What it imports |
|---|---|
| Google Play | User reviews from your app's Play Store listing |
| Apple App Store | User reviews from your iOS app listing |
| Trustpilot | Public business reviews |
| Posts and comments from relevant subreddits |
How to import
- On the CFA page, go to Multiple Feedback mode.
- Click the Online Sources tab.
- Select the source you want to import from.
- Enter the required identifier (e.g. app ID, business name, or subreddit name).
- Choose a date range and the number of reviews to fetch.
- Click Fetch to preview the data, then Import to load it.
How to find your app ID (Google Play / App Store)
- Google Play: Go to your app's Play Store page. The app ID is in the URL after "id=". For example: com.yourcompany.app
- App Store: Go to your app's App Store page. The numeric ID is in the URL after "id". For example: 1234567890
Date range and limits
You can filter by date range (e.g. last 30 days, last 90 days, or a custom range). The number of reviews you can fetch at once depends on your plan.
Troubleshooting
Threadline says it can't find my app
Double-check the app ID you entered. For Google Play, copy the value that appears after 'id=' in the Play Store URL. For App Store, use only the numeric part of the URL.
I'm getting fewer reviews than expected
Online sources may limit how many reviews are publicly accessible. Try widening the date range or increasing the fetch limit. Some app stores throttle large requests.
The Reddit import returned unrelated posts
Try being more specific with the subreddit name (e.g. use 'yourcompany' rather than a generic term). You can also filter posts by keyword in the configuration step.
