Managing your account
Update your profile, change your password, manage team members, and delete your account.
Updating your profile
Go to Profile (click your avatar or name in the top-right corner) to update your display name, email address, and profile picture.
Changing your password
In your Profile settings, click Change password. You'll need to enter your current password before setting a new one.
If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page.
Managing your organization
Go to Settings > Organization to:
- Update your organization name
- Invite team members by email
- Remove existing members
- View and change member roles (Owner, Admin, Member)
Inviting team members
- Go to Settings > Organization.
- Click Invite member.
- Enter the person's email address and select their role.
- They'll receive an invitation email with a link to join your organization.
Switching between organizations
If you're a member of multiple organizations, you can switch between them using the organization selector in the top navigation.
Exporting your data
You can request an export of all your personal data from Profile settings > Export my data. This complies with GDPR data portability requirements.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data from Threadline. To delete, go to Profile settings > Delete account and confirm. If you're the owner of an organization, you'll need to transfer ownership or delete the organization first.
Troubleshooting
I can't see the organization settings
Organization settings are only visible to users with Owner or Admin roles. If you need to make changes and don't have access, ask the organization Owner to update your role.
A team member didn't receive their invitation
Ask them to check their spam folder. If the invite is more than 48 hours old, resend it from the Organization settings page.
